About Us
Hello, everyone! We are Shelley and Steve Schneider, owners of Miss Cherry Coffee.
When we aren't shredding in the mountains during snowboard season, we are traveling the world, searching for delicious and unique specialty coffees to share with all of you.
We LOVE coffee - but we also understand the challenges facing our planet as well as the challenges faced by the hardworking farmers who bring the coffee we love to market. That's why we make every effort to source our coffee from responsible farming operations and wherever possible, we buy from women-led farms.
Who is "Miss Cherry"?
"Miss Cherry" is the nickname that was warmly bestowed upon Shelley following a typo on a hotel registration form in Hanoi. We never bothered correcting it and it just stuck.
We fell in love with Vietnam. We loved everything about it from the incredible food to the amazing people. What really stole the show for us though, was the coffee.
That trip inspired us to start Miss Cherry Coffee as there are so many AMAZING specialty-coffees grown in Vietnam that are under-represented here at home.
Our Commitment
Miss Cherry Coffee prioritizes sourcing coffee from responsible farming operations that focus on fair trade, protection of the environment, and empowering women in coffee.
Café Femenino
Miss Cherry Coffee is proud to join the women farmers of the Café Femenino program. We stand with these
courageous women who fight for the credit they deserve and the voice they need to fight inequality. Café
Femenino provides high-quality coffee beans that come with a one-of-a-kind support for women farmers
across the world. Café Femenino disrupts the traditional economic system by paying women directly for their
work, giving them the opportunity to take on leadership roles in their cooperative, and providing them with
the title to the land on which they farm.
To further support the women of Café Femenino, Miss Cherry Coffee proudly donates a percentage of all Café
Femenino sales to the Café Femenino Foundation and The Tulalip Foundation. The Café Femenino
Foundation is a nonprofit grant-awarding program committed to empowering women, their families and their
communities. The Foundation supports women’s leadership roles in their communities, as the women lead
and implement the projects once they receive funding. The Tulalip Foundation supports women in our
community by supporting survivors of domestic violence.
